In moving through these stages, people can use different strategies and techniques depending on their goals and motivation to participate in PA Lee et al.

Self-efficacy is important because individuals with high self-efficacy for tasks tend to try harder and experience more positive emotions related to the tasks Bandura, People with higher self-efficacy tend to accept more challenges and persist with their appointed tasks despite obstacles. Individuals tend to adopt new behavior when they find that the benefits outweigh the cons. Processes of change are strategies using cognitive and behavioral processes to modify experience and environment to change behavior Prochaska and Velicer, Cognitive and behavioral processes, which are the second-higher order model in process of changes, can be used to sustain improvements in PA.

The agencies can work hand in hand to establish health policy by educating university students and parents and regularly conducting exercise programs. Moreover, sports medicine professionals, such as certified athletic trainers, sport psychologists, and physical therapists, can refer to TTM studies as sources to understand the need to encourage university students to participate in PA by improving their level of processes of change.
